Why skysthelimit?

A community of support

As a nonprofit, our goal is to empower young entrepreneurs (ages 18 - 29) to recruit the support they need to help plan, build, and grow their businesses. We do this by providing access to social support, training, and funding opportunities through our skysthelimit.org digital platform.

Through our unique platform, entrepreneurs can connect with each other and a community of volunteer supporters in a way that is convenient and effective. And our volunteers benefit too through upskilling opportunities and the unmatched satisfaction of helping someone fulfill their dreams!

What we offer entrepreneurs:

Social Capital

At skysthelimit.org, our first priority is empowering young entrepreneurs to recruit a support team through our research-backed recruiting techniques. We also provide access to a community of volunteers and donors who have the skills, experience, and resources to help young entrepreneurs plan and grow their businesses.

Education & training

As a supplement to the community and the relationships being built, we also provide a variety of guides and programs designed to help young adult entrepreneurs take their businesses to the next step — whatever that next step might be. These guides can be used individually or can help guide meetings with an advisor or mentor.

funding opportunities

Although our focus is on building social capital, we realize that financial capital is necessary and lacking for many of our young entrepreneurs. By participating in training and mentorship through skysthelimit.org, you may qualify for exclusive grant opportunities, including our monthly Friends & Family Fund. Sign up now to start the process!

What we offer volunteers:

Upskilling

Through the mentorship and advising process, volunteers can build valuable skills like learning agility, emotional intelligence, cross-generational and cross-cultural communication, and use of emerging digital tools. Explaining concepts to a young entrepreneur can also help you gain deeper understanding of your own area of expertise. In other words, the learning in our community often goes both ways!

Giving back

One of the things we hear again and again is, “I wish I’d had a program like this when I started my business.” As a volunteer, you have the opportunity to be the supporter you wish you had — all from the comfort of their own home or office. We provide the structure and resources, and make it easy to connect you to a young entrepreneur who is looking for someone with your skills and experience.

inspiration & happiness

There are few things more inspiring than watching someone take a business idea and turn it into an actual business or product. Entrepreneurial creativity and excitement are contagious, and being part of skysthelimit.org has positive effects beyond the mentoring relationship. In fact, volunteering and donating can even make you healthier and happier!

Entrepreneurship for everyone.

We don’t just need more jobs, but better ones, to gainfully employ the 80+ million young adults entering or already in the workforce.

We can do better.

11 MILLION

That’s how many underserved young adults in the United States say they want to start a business — but they lack the resources to do so. We believe the key to empowering entrepreneurs is to provide them with the right support, from the right people, at the right time in their entrepreneurial journey.
