With the founding of Raise the Bar Investments, Ray’Chel carved a unique path by establishing a financial education social enterprise that focuses on empowering minorities to overcome the racial and gender wealth gap. This journey was spurred by her own significant financial achievements, including using cryptocurrency profits to pay off her undergraduate student loans. Inspired by these milestones and driven by the desire to help others, Ray’Chel birthed Raise the Bar Investments. Her journey was marked by recognition as as one of “Tulsa’s Emerging 100” entrepreneurs. Armed with a Bachelor’s of Science in Public Health from The Ohio State University, a CFEI certification through the National Financial Educators Council and a Certificate in Women’s Entrepreneurship from Cornell University, Ray’Chel’s journey as a published author of “Black Wealth Freedom” series laid the foundation for her trailblazing work.

Buoyed by the success of Raise the Bar Investments, Ray’Chel’s visionary spirit led her to create ForOurLastNames, an empowering app that bridges the gap between education and investing. This app, born out of the drive to educate and empower first-generation wealth builders, has a dual-sided business model. It offers a white-label software for financial institutions and a subscription-based app for individual investors. The app unlocks access to diverse investment assets, equipping users with knowledge and confidence for informed decision-making, all while paving the way for a secure financial future. Ray'Chel benefited from the expertise of Lauren Moore, a Management Consultant at Accenture, who specializes in design led strategy, project management, human centered design, change management, content creation, podcasting, divestitures and tech implementations. In combination with Lauren's designer mindset, creative problem solving, financial fluency and curiosity for bettering the world, she provided invaluable insights that aligned perfectly to Ray'Chel's journey.

Regina Musyl, Solution Architect at Accenture, brought a deep entrepreneurial heritage, experience working at start-ups and an ability to build foundations and structure for initiatives with no precedent. Her experience coincided with Ray'Chel's needs when starting and growing her businesses, including her knowledge in developing solutions for generating more customer leads and creating more personalized experiences, financial plans, technology enablement and clearly defined business outcomes.

Mentors, Lauren Moore and Regina Musyl became advisory board members of Raise the Bar Investments and provide global insight for ForOurLastNames app go-to-market strategy. Their input on the first ForOurLastNames pitch deck helped secure first place at the Build in Tulsa Female Founders Pitch Night competition, resulting in a 100% growth in the waitlist. These achievements paved the way for successful beta tests of ForOurLastNames, and for a timely launch of the app.

Tiffany Bogert, Technology Consultant at Accenture, who was initially a mentor for Raise the Bar Investments, is now co-founder & CTO of ForOurLastNames. Her desire to simply support a promising business as a mentor turned into a role where she could leverage her global technology skills at a more impactful level. Now, as fellow first generation investors, Tiffany and Ray’Chel have the opportunity to educate and empower first generation investors on how to build wealth for their last name.
